A despondent little Ant looks around at the world and decides that everyone she’s able to see plays an important role in the world- the sun, the rain, the wind, the honeybees, the birds.
That adds to her agitation. Whomever she thinks of has a purpose and she herself, none. She was just a small inconsequential ant!
In silence and sadness, she lets her negative thoughts consume her and blackness reigns supreme. Her grandmother finds her devastated. The conversation between the two finally convinces the little ant that her life is not without purpose. Now she feels ten feet tall!
